Understanding origin
Raicilla is an agave spirit associated with mountain and coastal territories in western Mexico. Its denomination of origin covers sixteen municipalities in Jalisco and Bahía de Banderas in Nayarit.
Looking beyond the category
Different agaves and practices make producer-level information essential. The origin declaration excludes blue Agave tequilana Weber. Do not reduce the category to a single flavour or treat it as another name for tequila.
